I think you'll be fine with 10K OCI under normal driving conditions. If you happen to tow a lot or heavy, I'd probably reduce that interval a bit. You could also look at replacing the oil filter at 5k. Either way, I think you'll be good to go.

I change at around 8k but I'd have no concerns about going a bit higher. Been using Mobil 1 0w-30.

Drop synthetic in both then change it at 5k and do a blackstone labs analysis at the same time. Should tell you a lot about oil change intervals for YOUR vehicle and what's recommended for YOUR driving habits. That is what I would do anyway.

My Honda only needed a filter every other change with regular oil (so about every 10-12k miles). A good filter should be fine for the whole time. You could consider a larger filter if you think you need more filtration.

Thank y'all so much......by my calculations synthetic should actually be cheaper in the long run while using a much better product.....sounds like a win win to me ☺

synthetic oil change interval v8

I change my 4R when the light comes on which I believe is a ~7,500mi interval. I also do a 5 wheel rotation then, and lube the drive shaft. I'm sure I could go longer, but it's inexpensive insurance.

I like your system, if or when I get new tires I will get 5 instead of 4 and adopt the same practice! I also change my oil when the maintenance light comes on ans run 5W30 full synthetic (whatever is on sale with a quality filter)
