I was a 12v installer for about 8 years at 3 different shops and I took to remote starts because they were good money when I was on commission. I could do 3-4 per day easy and make $50 each. That was awesome money when I was just out of high school.
I looked into the unlock issue you spoke of since I installed my remote start today and it is possible as i have mine set up this way now.
When your doors unlock does the driver door unlock and then passenser doors or do they all unlock at once? If they unlock in stages, it is just programming that needs to be changed. If they unlock at once the wiring needs to be changed.
Get back to me on this and I'll tell you how to precede. Should be pretty easy to change with minimal skills and tools.
