Addicted Offroad's Project: 100 Kilos (of the good stuff)
So, I only know of a handful of legit 4th gen 4runners around that are built. We'll be adding this one to the list. This rig came to me rather stock earlier this year from a customer in Denver. Here are the specs:
2006 4runner Limited 4x4. V8, auto, 3" Icon lift.
We used it to build our 4th gen prototype front bumper on it. So, here are pics of it at that point:
Now, here is the rest of the plan.
Front:
SAS using a soon to be prototype'd 3-link kit
14" coilovers
Dropout center section
Diamond axle. 72" WMS-WMS (yes, wider than full width). 9.5" Land Cruiser center section. Mini truck outers. ARB Air Locker, 4.88s
Rear.
Custom 3-Link rear. Hopefully a production kit soon.
12" coilovers
Diamond Axle. 10.5" Tundra drop out. 36 spline full floater. Dana 60 FF hubs/outers. Retain factory Toyota disc brakes. 4.88s, ARB Air Locker. This will be the Biggest, Baddest, Toyota axle on the planet. 70" WMS-WMS.
Tcase:
TBD
Tire/wheels
37x12.5x17 Mud Terrains. 5" backspaced 17x9 wheels
Custom Rear tire carrier bumper.
We'll be starting on this as soon as I can clear a spot on one of the lifts since the axles came in this week.

We will be looking into doing just that. This will NOT be a cheap kit. It will include the axle, shocks, all tabs/brackets, towers, etc. It will be a weld together kit as well.

I haven't been driving it. I drove it home a couple days to get it dialed in, but its been with the owner for a few months now. It did come back in last week for a new stereo, and some button ups.

I want the SAS kit and the rear tire carrier. My money is ready and waiting for a rear bumper to match the front!

I should have enough moolah saved up by the time I take my annual trek out to Vail this summer. I now will have a detour to make en route!
