I have been seriously considering an LED light bar whether in place of my wind fairing, or inside the hood scoop. Not only does it serve it's intended purpose, but looks pretty cool as well. Kind of reminds me of "Kitt" lol

PS: Good Morning everyone!!! And remember, tomorrow is Friday the 13th!!!

I don't have much planned at the moment... Waiting for spring to arrive. It's supposed to drop down into the negatives/single digits tomorrow and over the weekend

But, I have some FJ coilovers to install up front when spring comes around. Also got some new wheels from a 2010+ that I'll be installing, but have to get new tires for them first. Last but not least, I'm thinking of having the rear hatch re-sprayed too. It has so many chips in it and they're starting to bubble. I'd rather get it taken care of sooner rather than later. The paint seems kinda soft. I was quoted ~$700 for an entire respray but that seems like a big bill for something where I'll be doing most of the strip down. I'm sure I can find someone that's a bit cheaper

Toyota 4-Runner LED Lights | Toyota LED Lights | 4-Runner LED Light Bar | Rigid Industries

I know you said lower grill but, These are kind of nice as well, Although I don't see them looking as great on our 4th gens, as they do on the 5th pictured there ^

Been thinking on them EBay arms myself, just need to change my LBJ first and see if that takes care of my issues, dayum gen3 guys keep abusing my ride following them to places.
Have a 30 curve and some pods to mount and wire incognito on my rack first.

@awdjunkies .... Putting one in the hood would look pretty good.
Might have to add a fairing also, is pretty tubulant up there.

Nice, I definitely like the 2010+ OEM wheels.
Good God, 700? even after you'll be the one doing all the stripping? sounds like 700 Dollars better spend on other goodies, and if you think the paint is kinda soft? Subaru's paint is very soft/thin. Sure lighter equals faster but I'd rather have long lasting paint. Good Luck with your projects

Gah!! I miss my 3rd gen sometimes ... I do have a fairing up there which is hooked up to my basket, But I was thinking of deleting "IT" and installing a light bar in it's place, but yeah, I see what you are saying, especially lately as it has been very windy around here.

I built one like WMW but sets back a little more in the front, just a lot of noise starting at 35mph no wind. Might have build a fairing to get rid of it.
You can't mount it above the fairing. I got a welder and could weld some tabs or flat stock up there for you if need be.

Edit...would be below your fairing on yours I do believe.

I saw the build/finished product and was Jelly at your skills, sir
Totally appreciate the helping hand but My basket/fairing is a cheapy one. I purchased it to eventually find a stock Sport wheel and mount it up there, along with a shovel, gas can, etc.. to prepare it for when the XREAS to 5100 Billies transformation comes about lol

Thank you Sergio.... If it's metal, I can modify it. Just let me know if I can be of service for you.
