Part of me wishes we had the cold weather and snow you guys are getting on the East Coast, but I'm enjoying the Sunny 60-70 degree weather we've been getting in Denver and will continue to get through this weekend. It means I get to snowboard one day and then mountain bike the next
You guys are depressing me with this age talk. It's just a number. I'm more active and in better shape at 32 than I ever was when I was younger. Sure it takes a little longer to heal, but a few Advil a day can mask most of the pain. Personally I've found the secret to staying young is no wife, no kids, and quitting your desk job. The day I quit my 12hr a day IT job the gray hair stopped its onslaught, lol.

/\.... I was in my best/prime shape and all when I was at that age. Due to all the type of work I did back then is why I feel like I do now.
Enjoy it while you can.

Word I'm way better looking, more fit and do more things now than I ever did younger. The grey hair is just a bonus for the ladies. Ok for my lady since that games over.
Btw planning a wedding is hard. At least most of it will be comped. Tracking down a venue is a real pain.

I hear you, no wife, no kids, many gf, and i still look like i'm in my early 20s when i just turned 34. I'm in agriculture business and love it. sure, the guy thats a desk jockey probably makes more money than me. But I bet that guy doesn't get to enjoy life. I spend 8 months in the fields and I get 4 months to party afterwards. what more can i ask for.
Dude, I'm jelly.... You have snow... Here in cali, its just ridic. None of the mountains around me got snow. We have to head out to mammoth, and thats barely got anything compared to last year. which was pretty bad already.

I think we can all agree that modding and just taking care of your rig is something that was embedding into us at a young age. I remember washing/polishing my then new 1993 Grand Cherokee. I was 18. Thing was a mirror. I enjoyed that thing and knew at the time I really didn't have much in ways of responsibility (lived with the parents in rural PA). I knew life was good at the time and that was going to change. I guess what I mean to say is that I "stopped and smelled the flowers". Then the rest of high school/college happened, moved overseas to work, partied my ass off and dating A TON. This was when I was in my 20s. 30s: Found my wife, got married, got a kid and one on the way, so yeah, modding and taking care of my 4R just takes me (and probably most of us) back to those states of mind. It relaxes me. If I were single, my 4R would look like most of yours (lift, tires, steel bumper, etc).
Cold weather? Seeing that every part of the country has it's downsides, I lean toward the south (N/S Carolina/Florida). I can't see myself staying in the northeast. But who knows.

Colorado hasn't been great snow wise this year. A few inches here and there to keep things rideable. In the 12 days I've ridden this season I've had 1 powder day and it was what I consider a weak one.
Don't say Florida
@ CookieRoe
! That's where everything goes to die. Half my friends here in Colorado are escapees from Florida and will never go back. I just escaped the Southeast in December after 6 years of living in what I consider hell, Atlanta. Nothing but rain, humidity, traffic and allergies the past few years. Also lots of ugly fat people who love buffets and chocolate waterfalls. Those aren't my kind of people. No offense if anyone here that loves chocolate waterfalls, but remember what happened to Augustus Gloop. He died.

I hear ya. I've been looking for jobs in NC but I know it'll be tough to line something up while still being here in Buffalo. I can't see myself being here for the rest of my life. I'm tired of snow, cold, lack of sun.... When you go outside and 20 degrees feels warm, something isn't right haha

I understand it's the geriatric capital of the US, and have also heard it sucks. Still don't know why. I love the Northeast, don't get me wrong, but it's feeling long in the tooth for me. I have YET to see someone say Colorado sucks. However, I'm a beach person, I have to be relatively close to an ocean. Northwest would kill me (too much rain). My sister lives in Nashville and has told me to move on down. I've visited her many times and I enjoy Nashville, but it isn't for me. That and I HATE country music, LOL.

Do you find that MOST of your friends have abandoned your home? Almost everyone I know moved to Philly/DC. I used to live 2 hours northwest of Philly. Anyway, I feel your pain. It was 38 the other day and I thought it was great. So yeah, ............ something isn't right.

Well I can't complain due to the weather we have been having lately. I mean, high 50s low/mid 60s is wonderful. And the snow we get is pretty boring down in the valley floor versus say, up in the Tahoe/Truckee area.
So yeah, I feel your pain you guys in the East.

Ya, I was born in Tallahassee and I've got family all over Florida, there are definitely nice bits of the state but mostly it's hot and buggy and there are a truly breathtaking amount of fat old people. Not my cup of tea. Moving to Cali next year. Done with the dreary winters in Washington.

Some more snow here in the mountains of Colorado would be kind of nice. I dont complain too much though as it has been the mildest winter I have ever seen while I have lived here. Which means it's time to get the camper out and get her ready!!

I grew up in Pensacola and went to U Miami for 5 years. I'd give up something hefty to go back to living there.
Edit: We're going camping in Shenandoah River this weekend, and hopefully doing my timing belt next weekend and maybe a remote start system (got it for the best price, free!). I'm coming up on 230k miles with no record of the belt ever being changed, so I'd say it's about due...

Well I've only had my 4runner for a week, and just got window tints, but my next mods will be installing my Kenwood DDX371, and have a steering wheel control wire and rear view camera ordered, and then wheels.
Problem is, because I have the Galactic Gray Mica, it's tough to see which wheels will look good on it. I'm pretty sure I want either 5th gen rims or FJ, but not sure which ones. Anyone happen to have pics or links to photos of 4th gens with 5th gen or FJ rims with Galactic Gray bodies? I've done a ton of searching and only found the ones with all the circles in the rims. Not a big fan for my color truck though.

Right?! It's already been a year since I proposed next month! We get married in a year. It's been nuts and time is flying by. Year 5 now with her. I'm more shocked she's put up with me for this long than anything else.
