Did you put the steering shaft spacer in? If so sounds like you turned the clock spring too far and broke it. I did the same thing when installing mine.

Replace the clockspring. You pretty much follow this exactly. I think I replaced mine in about 20 min.

How to install a Clock Spring a.k.a. Spiral Cable.

It should with the exception of the vsc light, but my guess is that will go off with a zero point callibration.

Got vsc lights off. Now just got the airbag light, no horn, or cruise control.

They're telling me at the dealership that the click spring is like $265

Is that right?

Check ebay. I broke my clock spring installing a body lift and experienced the same issues as you minus the VSC light, so i bought the clock spring below for $35.

If you do purchase this one, just make sure all of the metal prongs get connected properly. One of mine didn't connect when I initially installed it, so my controls didn't work. Turned out that a prong was bent out of place, so I corrected that and problem solved.

Finally, since this one may not be oem, there may be a slight crunch sound when you crank your steering wheel. It doesn't affect performance or anything, just a little noise.

That sounds about right for a dealer price. I picked up a used OEM one on ebay for $30 or so, as I didnt trust the non-OEM ones. Didnt really matter in the end though, as it recently broke again. This time I might just go with a new one from the dealer to hopefully prevent any issues.

Not sure actually haha. Maybe it was damaged when it was taken out of the car that I bought it from, or I damaged it while putting it in. It lasted close to a year before breaking though, and I didnt take the wheel off at all, so who knows.
