Help me convince my wife we need a 4th gen!
So the wife and I have a 2012 FJ that we are thinking about selling/trading in. We found an 07 Sport V8 at the local Toyota dealer. It drove fine and the V8 power is nice. The dealer offered us exactly what we paid for the FJ brand new. I'm sold on it but my wife says she doesn't want the V8 and she wants Bluetooth capability (I told her that's an easy fix). i need help guys!

Keep the FJ, sell your wife and get the 4runner too.
Problem. Solved.

If the dealer offered me what I paid for my wife, I would have to consider it...

Make up some BS that the 4Runner is safer, 99% of the time it works whether for a specific truck or modification.

THIS! Having sold new and used cars before I can tell you that safety is the number one concern for women. Tell her she will be able to enjoy much better visibility, and any person in the back seats would be able to escape much easier in a 4Runner than in a FJ. Then roll into the number two concern, convenience. "Look how EASY it is to get into the back seats, Wow, look at this cool cup holder that comes out of the arm rest, check out this cool trash bag holder... etc..... Close the deal buddy!

Thanks for the pointers. I see you are from Richmond. Priority Toyota has an 07 Limited that I wouldn't mind checking out. Any experience with that dealer?

How many miles on her? Just wondering I case you sell her.. Lol.
Your wife will love the v8.. My wife loves driving our v8, especially when the twin turbos spool. Unfortunately the Sherriff loves it too and provided her this nice peice of paper requiring her appearance before the county majesty.

v8 4runner have full-time 4wd, so you get better handling. also more spacious than the fj. a new radio swap is better and cheaper.

Timing is everything. I bought my 2012 FJ in Jan 2013 (They took $5k off sticker). Yesterday while looking at the 4Runner the dealer offered us $28.5 which is great but it's not what we wanted. I get a call 3 hours later saying they will give us $30k. Funny thing is there is a small crack in the windshield and the right rear fender flare has scratches on it where my wife hit something.
