Maint light
Maintenance light flashing intermittently during a torrential downpour any ideas? Sorry didn't do a search still stuck in traffic....

It only means that it has been 5000 miles since you're last oil change.

hold down the ODO reset button while starting the car and keep it pressed until MAINT light stops blinking

Ok, thanks guys. I do find that a bit odd to flash intermittently for 10 mins though. Oh well I guess that is what Toyota wanted. Good thing I changed the oil 2 weeks ago! LOL

It is odd that it flashed for 10 minutes. It normally flashes for just a few seconds on startup.

Well crap. Just to be safe anyone know where any of that wiring is? It only happened during the downpour yesterday when the roads were flooded and I along with the other "taller" vehicles used the flooded lane that cars couldn't. I peaked under the 4Runner last night after the storm and couldn't see anything exposed so I am honestly a bit confused. Especially since this only happened while driving through flooded areas.
