Will the dealer warranty this?

Hey everyone. Happy 4th! I was hoping to get some quick input on my leaking pinion seal coming out of the transfer case. It was leaking when I bought the vehicle last July, and the dealer replaced it at half cost in August (with 89k on the odometer). Fast forward 11k miles and it is leaking again. Do you all think this is something the dealer will stand behind/warranty? I looked online and in the receipt but they don't have their policies anywhere. I'm going to talk to the service manager when I bring it in for a transmission service, but was hoping to get a little input

Back when I worked at a Dealer, their warranty policy on repairs was 12 months or 12k miles. That was spelled out on every receipt that customers received.

That seemed to be pretty standard at most Dealers.

But that was a long time ago. Things may have changed in the industry.

This is something we really cant answer for you. Each dealer is different, i had a a/c compressor go out on one of my car 5k after warranty. And the sales rep put my mileage 6k under and fix it for me.

I would go down and ask.

I have also heard the 12mo/12k rule out of the dealerships. Ask them their policy. I'd definitely be looking for them to take care of it if it's not even been a year.
