Ya, I had considered doing that, but when I pulled he CVs out, the spring O-rings that sit on either side of the steering arm and are supposed to provide tension to the seal, collapsed all the way in / came off. I figured as long as I was doing it, and I didn't need my truck for a few weeks, I'd try and do it right. The place I ordered my replacement wheel bearings from had the seals, so I figured why not.
Great tip about using the dust cover to press in the seal,
