Any trusted 4x4 shops in DC area?
I used J&B Motorsports when I lived in PA. I am looking at CV replacement, seals, etc (I could do it myself, but I am tight on time) and possibly a re-gearing.
Do you think 4.56 would be too aggressive with LT255 75r17's?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure how far you wanna go, but I have a friend (Ryan) in Warrenton who's been working on Toyotas for close to 20 years and does great work. Here's his site: * * * On The Road Again Mobile Mechanic - Home
You can find him on Facebook, too, if you're on there.

Thank you gents. I've had a couple life-changing events occur since I was considering having her re-geared. I have decided to put my 4Runner back close to stock so no longer need to re-gear as I am going back to a 265 65 17 once I sell my 275 70 17's and the new 255 75 17 BFG's I have sitting in the garage.
I spoke to the dealer and they gave me a cheaper quote (with military discount) than Overland4x4 and didn't give me a hard time about the fact that I will be bringing in some aftermarket hubs (from Kevin in NJ once they get here).
Again, appreciate both your responses.

Yeah, give the guys over in Chantilly at Hi-Tech a call.
I've been there twice (just for alignment/wheel balance work) and have been impressed with them. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Plus, it's a good feeling when you pull up and there are lifted/modified Jeeps/Yotas/Landys parked all over the place.
EDIT: I know it looks suspicious, but this isn't Scott from Hi-Tech on another account

I haven't followed up with Scott yet. I discovered the brakes on my wife's mini van are close to shot so I am shifting focus to that. I just received new Honda pads and rotors for all four corners and will be installing them this week. My wife and two nuggets are precious cargo. Also just received my downsizing notice from the military so I might be running my truck as is until I find out what I want to be when I grow up.

Just dropped her off a little over an hour ago. Was running a little short on time and wanted it done correctly. Thanks for getting me in on short notice.
