__________________________________________________ ______________________________________________

Hey guys! I'm coming over to join the 4th gen section from the Classics section! I previously owned a 2nd gen and recently sold that and upgraded to a SR5 4th gen V8! Couldn't be happier! The reasons for making the upgrade should be obvious, but the main reason was family comfort during family explorations!

Plans for this thing are a set of 5100s, Toytec coils, 33" (equivalent) tires, sliders, extended Rola rack with low profile mounts, snorkel, hidden winch mount and winch, exhaust, and some interior electronics goodies... Nothing too crazy, but all the modifications necessary to have a capable exploring rig!

Anyways... here are some pics of my old 2nd gen...

...and here was the 4th gen the day I brought it home!

I didn't waste any time and started subtle, free mods right away! First thing was a running board delete...

Then on to the charcoal filter delete...

Then I added our logo...

Then a little plasti-dipping...

...and how it's sitting right now!

Next up is tint on the front windows, lift and tires!

That's beautiful. I just picked up a 2003 Limited in black, and minus the logo, those are the exact mods I have done. It already has tinted windows and a 3 inch lift, so my next step is saving up for a CBI front bumper and a winch. Good luck!

DUDE! I've been off the boards since I sold my 2nd gen a couple months ago, didn't know you got a 4th gen too!!! Killer!!!

No difference in power, but got a nice grumble under the hood now! Did the same mod with my IS350 and it actually did gain some power and a LOT of grumbling under the hood! LOVE it. Awesome mod! V8 is sooooo nice after a 3.slow.... lol

I had a slight vibration when braking, so I had my rotors turned and put some new ceramic pads on last night! Braking feels 10xs better now!

Great looking 4th gen the Ozarks are going to love that black paint. I'll be curious to see what you think of the lift, wanting to do something similar with mine.

Congrats on the new ride.

Yeah... black wasn't my first choice, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on this one! I'll be sure to wax it before heading to the trails so hopefully the limbs will just slide over the paint instead of dig into it! lol

Thanks!

These things just arrived! Just waiting on the 5100s now!

...and I decided to cut this thing off to get more sound out of that V8 for free! Made a little difference, but not much! Time for a magnaflow muffler now....
