'03 roof rack removal with pics.
so I have had my '03 v8 for about 3 months now and I have added a few mods already. I don't want to turn it into a build thread, but I have done 1.750" spacers front and rear, drilled and slotted rotors front and rear, removed some badges and the running boards. front CBI bumper is on the way as well as a lift soon. the latest minor deal was removing the soccer mom rack on the roof. I really didn't know what to expect, but I went ahead the other day on a whim. found out that I do not think you can get the covers off without breaking them. removed the mounting bolts and the rack and then went to figuring out how to plug the holes. in the pics is what I came up with and made. I do tool and die work so this is not really a back yard made piece. I mouted all of them already but I am going to go around them with clear caulk just to seal them up good. let me know what you guys think!

Looks like you were trying to add a couple more pics, but they aren't showing up now. Can you fix it please? I'd like to see what it looks like from a distance, from the side.
Thanks!

Yea I don't know what's up with that. I will fix it. I will get some pics from the side. The only thing you can see is barely the top of the bolt heads.I will get some pics though.

For anyone who doesn't want to make their own pieces there's threads under roof rack delete or something like that and you can buy $30 worth of bolts and caps to cover fill and cover the mounting holes

I didn't want to take away from the op's work I liked it but I figured most people would rather just buy the pieces and be done with it. I had a full length rack I just took off and I'm bare up top now and it's growing on me. Very quiet too

It depends on how you look at it. The kit was $30 maybe.
