Not a 4Runner update but...
My grandpa has a 1979 Corvette he bought from a relative and is looking to sell soon. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to polish it for him.
After all the parents/ grandparents stopped trying to tell me how to polish it so I wouldn't ruin its original paint, I got to work. Roughly 7hrs of labor later, it turned out great! The paint was clean to begin with and I didn't have a whole lot of time, so I skipped the clay bar and started with Chemical Guy's V36 and finished it with V38.
Specs: 1979 Corvette w/L82 Performance Package with either 32,000 or 132,000 miles. Assorted Van Halen and Billy Idol cassete tapes still inside.

Its far from "show car" material, as it still requires a lot more work then I am able to give it, but it was a lot of fun to work on and it should help the resell value. But best of all, I'm contracted to do my grandpa's old Mercedes and possibly his Lexus next!!
As for my 4Runner, I got a CB for Christmas so I'm working on a stealth mount inside that will hopefully work.
