Need Pads, should I keep the rotors or replace
Truck has 94k, 08 Urban Runner. this is the first time brakes are being worked on, actually this is the first time anything needs replacing besides plugs, filters and fluids.
Checked my pads, they are still OK and my rotors look fine, no groves, brakes work well.
Should I keep the rotors and just swap pads? I was planning on going with Akebono pads as they have lasted me this long.
Thoughts?

I been always told new rotors and pads need to go together. Surface of the rotors after 94k will not be smooth or have flat surface. You can try and install just new pads, but I personally hate to do things twice.

If your pads are ok, your rotors look fine, and your brakes work well, why are you wanting to fix stuff? If you think it's "just time" to replace, I have been extremely happy with my Hawk LT pads, and with having about the same miles as you have, I took my rotors down to O'Rielys, and they verified that they could be resurfaced ($20/ea.), and for the cost of new pads and resurfaced rotors, I have better brakes than ever. If your rotors haven't ever been resurfaced, you probably have plenty there for continuing with your stock rotors. I haven't had to purchase rotors yet, but when it's time, I'll be going with Hawk.

You can usually have the rotors resurfaced and then throw fresh pads on. If the rotors are getting too thin then you need new ones. . .

pads are Ok, but getting thin, I live in the northeast, I would rather do this now then in the middle of winter.
I am going to check the thickness, anyone know what is in spec?

get the rotors replaced too. if you don't, by the time the new pads are about halfway, the rotors will start to rust too much that replacing it would be the best thing to do and then you will have to replace the pads again if you ended up replacing the rotors. why not do it now?

If rotors were $100 each, I'd spend a lot of time trying to make this decision too. The truth is that they are so cheap that you may as well just go ahead and replace them while you're in there. RockAuto has them cheap and so does NAPA.

I just replaced my rotors and pads. Let me know if you have any questions. DIY link is in my signature. Also there is a wear indicator (a groove) that you can see thru the caliper.
