Need Advice New York State Catalytic Converter

Hey I'm a long time lurker but now I need some advice.. 2004 V8 Sport 198,000 miles needs right side catalytic converter.. I've been through all the other fixes, o2 sensors etc and its the cat. Can anyone recommend a company that sells a 49 or even CA state legal manifold catalytic converter that i can buy. They seem to be few and far between... and of course the Toyota original part costs more than the car is worth now.. Need to pass NYS inspection this month.. thanks in advance..

I bought a pacesetter exhaust manifold with the cat for my 2004 V8 from Amazon and they shipped it to me in NY. That being said the manifold had to be filed down as it was not "flat" from the factory. Installed and no check engine light so far after about 1000 miles.

Ok, I'll answer my own question. After searching the web for a 49 state legal catalytic converter with manifold i found them at Autoanything.com. They sold me 2 Pacesetter units ,a right and left for $261.50 each and another $14.95 to fed ex overnight to my mechanic. Great company to deal with... These parts are not easy to find..

Additional parts needed were studs, bolts and gaskets.. I was charged $965 for the install but negotiated $850 in cash. The parts were an exact match. So after spending $1402.90 i no longer have a check engine light and I've passed NYS inspection.. Ouch.

By the way the California Carb compliant parts were double the cost and if you had to buy them from Toyota each one would have set you back over $1500 i was told.
