Front sway bar end link question

Replaced my drivers side wheel bearing assembly today, and I was concerned about the front end link. My question is how much play should there be in the end link, I can grab it in my hand and turn it side to side, no real noise but it can move without me using any tool(s) . I have two links on order but won't be in til mid week- Larry

is the movement beyond the normal range of motion for the ball joints? the front links do allow movement in a twisting motion by design, but an forward or backward movement would be cause for concern and be evidence of a worn out balljoint
