Replacement OEM Fuel Tank Skid Plate

I'm looking for a replacement OEM fuel tank skid plate but can't find a used on anywhere and there are no 4Runners in any of the local yards. All that I can find are heavy duty skid plates for off-roading which really isn't what I'm looking for. I just want to replace mine that has rusted through.

Do any of you know where to get a good used one? Would any of you hardcore off-roaders that pulled yours in favor of a heavy duty one still have your OEM one that you would be willing to sell? Toyota wants almost $400 for one which is just stupid.

i know RCI makes a 10GA steel skid, so it would be between a full on offroad skid and the oem tin can. i think it runs for about 210 or so

I finally found one on Ebay last month, but still costed $175 due to shipping from Florida. Try the link below and search on Gas Tank with your zip code. Call some of the listed places that have gas tanks avail. and see if the shield is usable and avail. You might get lucky. The one I bought came of a GX470 but exact same part.

Good luck and be ready to drill those broken bolts out of your frame rail.

Try posting a WTB here - 4th Gen specific for sale thread

All of us that went with aftermarket skids removed the stock ones. There's bound to be one in your area.
