I'm sorry to bump this, but I didn't want to start another thread.

I was eager to grease the U-joints on an '05 4R (V8, 2WD) and I could not find any zerks. Do they all have zerks or did some vehicles come from the factory without zerks (2WD models perhaps)? I have the service records for the car and it's never had U-joints replaced, per the paperwork.

No zerks on 2wd, 4wd only.

Update: noise is gone. Never figured out the cause, I'm going to guess parking brake.

Reviving this old thread as I just experienced this issue on my 2003 V8 4x4 Sport Edition with 101000 miles.

Can't determine the cause of the bumping/clunking in reverse. Frequency, when happening, is regular while reversing. Both in 4hi and 4lo. Bump..Bump...Bump...

Anyone know?! I am hoping just grease or u-joints!
