it's time for tires... so it's time for wheels?! (help)

hey guys, i have a 2007 nautical blue 2WD SR5. it has the factory 17" wheels and the tires are in need of replacing.

coming from a background where i have always been into Mustangs and all kinds of customization, i have left this thing alone but now is my opportunity to get some new wheels. i really want something 20", probably black (i hate chrome). i am going for something clean and simple.

i am looking for used sets. however in my search around the area i have found almost no 20" sets that will fit and that i don't hate. there was a set i was so excited about but turns out they are 6x135 not 6x139.7. i have however come across a set of 22" that i kind of like, but i worry they will be too big. i don't want anything too crazy looking.

this is my daily driver and it's a 2wd so i'm not looking for an off-road type look or anything. would 22" look too big you think basted on how i've described my tastes and the fact that it's a daily driven car? suggestions? can anyone post pics of 20" and 22" wheels on an 06-09 so i can get some ideas?

thanks!

Can't imagine you'll find any fans of the 22" street wheel (or should I say Rims) look here.

Do whatever fits your bill, but I like the clean factory look of newer 5th gen Wheels or some of the TRD aftermarket options.

thanks, i didn't know if 5th gen wheels will fit w/ bolt pattern and/or offset. they made some good looking 20" factory wheels on the newer ones.

I agree, and although I like the larger wheel look, I don't think our runners have the body for it. I've seen a few around my area (Jersey City) and they look really bad, but then again their wheels are pretty ugly to begin with.

If you're trying to find a used set of wheels check the tacoma and fj classifieds. They run our same bolt pattern.
