I have the Transmission "Rumble shudder" Issue going on

I have 130k on the clock and unfortunately I have the "rumble strip shudder" Did some searching and I figured out that this was what my truck has been doing.

I'm experiencing it when the 4R shifts from 4-D usually at around 35-40 mph, who else has experienced this issue and how much do you think the repair bill will be if it's just the torque converter?

I went and set up and appointment at a transmission shop for Tuesday... Hope it's not an issue where the entire tranny needs replacing/ rebuilding.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Have you changed the transmission fluid or checked the fluid level? I thought some had had luck changing the fluid and some had found the level low in the past and had "fixed" the shudder. Some added an additive during the fluid change to fix it also.

Update

Dropped my 4R off at the dealership this morning, holding my breath on what they find regarding the transmission issue and how much $$$$ where talking.

Hopefully it won't cost a fortune.

The dealership just called and said the technician suggested doing a full flush.... so they're doing the flush and I asked them to put that Dr. Tranny Shudder stuff in the tranny (that I supplied).

Fingers crossed

How much for the flush at the dealership? I'm going to be looking at this myself pretty soon. Getting the occasional shudder but it's not all the time yet.

Good news... I drove it home and it didnt make the shudder once...so far so good... The flush was around $375.00...much better than what I was expecting, if they said I had to replace the torque converter or entire tranny I'd be screwed. Ill keep you posted
