For the o-ring, make sure you scrap and clean off that connection point from the old o-ring as best you can. It took a flathead screwdriver to make sure both the thermostat and engine block were cleaned off. Replace the o-ring (make sure it's the right one) so you have a new, clean connection.

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping there is no air bleeding procedure or a need to drain 3 qt.s to make the loss of coolant minimal from the t-housing.
