Replaced interior lights--now Keyless entry, interior lights, visor light weird thing

Hey guys,

Decided on putting LED interior lights in tonight, put in the middle dome light, worked great. Took out the right side "map" light and put an LED in it. I kept trying to turn it on and it wouldnt. Neither would any other interior light..I thought it was strange I said to myself "I'll work on it tomorrow when it's light out". Step out and the keyless entry doesn't work! The truck started (more on that later) - but still lights wouldn't work and a weird dail "jumpy-ness". So I think well, I'll just disconnect the battery for 10 min to see if that helps at all.

Well, I reconnect it -- and the alarm turns on, which would be fine NORMALLY when my keyless works to hit unlock and turn it off. Well -- doesn't work. And I can't start it up because the immobilizer is activated now apparently.

So now I'm stuck. 3am.. With a truck that won't start and has no interior lights.

Here's a YouTube of it tonight. I did put the "map light" halogen bulb back in to no avail.

Thanks!

I'm guessing you blew a fuse for your interior lights. I'm not sure if this is same fuse for remote unlock, but...maybe??? Also, LED's need to installed with with correct polarity. Check your fuse, replace if blown, and see what works. Make sure lights are OFF when installing LED's or you might blow fuse again. When lights are off turn around LED's that aren't working, turn on light and voila...you should be illuminated. Sharing my own lesson learned.

Hoping this also fixes remote issue too. Good luck

Welp, I feel like a dolt. Haha both of you were right. Dome fuse was blown (maybe I put two oppositely, blowing it?)... Replaced it and boom, it's all good. Keyless entry and everything. I didn't want to wake the neighborhood last night but this morning i had the bright idea to just removed the horn fuse and tried it out.

Thanks again -- I'm back normal again. Amateur mistake-- sometimes I forget the most obvious solution!

Don't feel bad, I went thru the same exact thing when swapping in my LEDs. Felt pretty dumb for not realizing sooner but also pretty relieved when everything flipped back on.
