Mine was actually doing something a bit different than I thought it was. I believe I updated this thread, but I might not've.
After long drives it would push tons of coolant into and out of the reservoir but then wouldn't suck it back in once it cooled down. And there would be lots of pressure under my rad cap even when the overflow was full. But even then, there would be a lot of air in the radiator instead of coolant.
That said, the radiator is definitely worth looking at. The leak in mine was actually on the back, so the shop I'd gone to hadn't been able to find it.
