All fuses good - no trailer running lights

This no running lights for trailer is driving me nuts. I knew that I had a short in my trailer running lights when I got home after a trip (a clearance light got crushed) and noticed the running lights were out. No LED on the 7 to 4 pin converter that plugs into the stock lighting 7 pin socket. That did not surprise me, figured I'm looking for a blown fuse. Checked all the fuses in the fuse block under the hood - 1) Towing Brk 30A, 2) Towing 40A, 3) Towing 30A as is the Tail 10A in the little panel above the emergency brake. Not the fuse? I ordered a replacement "converter" the one buried in the panel above the rear tire fender behind the trim. Replaced it....nothing. No running lights.

I can always run a jumper from the wires one of the rear running lights to the harness just before the 7 pin connector, but I would like to actually find and fix the problem.

The posts I have seen talk about the converter and the fuses, but those are all new, so where do I start looking at this point?

2003 w/ factory tow light package

thanks
tony

I found a broken wire in mine when I had that problem. I have the tow package so didn't expect the problem to be in the loom but it was. Unfortunately you may have the same issue that requires digging into the loom wires and checking each wire.

More probable is the crushed light assuming the lights worked until getting damaged.

Have you checked for voltage on each pin the seven pin connector without your adapter in? Its always possible that the adapter went bad or is not making a good connection.
