As good, if not better than the original.

I did it all in my driveway myself. Took about 10 min.

The fob itself is a nice quality piece. Good weight to it, the spring action of the blade is strong and precise. I am impressed. I will update with any issues.

Brief Update:
Took the key to the localyokel hardware store to have it cut. The fob size prevented it from fitting in the clamp on their machine. Rather than disassemble the fob I am going to try the stealership tonight.

Took it to a locksmith shop right across the street from my work....
First thing he said, "Oh geez, I don't know if this will fit in my machine"
He hooked it up in there with a bit of mussing around...he got it to fit. I thought he was just trying when the machine was turned on, but he actually was cutting it.
Try another well known locksmith in town that maybe has a bit bigger machine before going to see the "bad guys" lol

Any chance this key would work on an 03? eBay listing says 05+ only. Hoping to find something similar.

What's the code on the back of your fob? Picture?

Update:
Great success!
Today I programmed and fob (open door, key in/out, key in/out, door close/open, door close/open, key in/out, door close/open, door close/open, key in, key on, key off, key out, push lock&unlock together, push unlock) and the immobilizer (door closed, master key in/out x5 leave in, door open/close 6x, remove master key, insert new key, wait for immobilizer light to stop blinking (~1min) ) no problems.
Then, I took the key to the parts counter at my local dealership and after a bit of discussion, they popped it into their machine and cut it from my VIN. We ran it through twice to get a perfect cut and had to snub/file the nose of the key just a bit to get a nice fit/feel. It worked like a charm and this key works great. My tumblers were a little grabby on the new key, but I wire brushed the blade down to smooth the edges out and that solved it. Presto, nice new switch blade key works just like factory. I am a happy camper.
The best part? Once I got the parts guy curious, he didn't even charge me to cut it. FTW.

Even if I have to replace the battery once every 2-3 months I will be happy.

I assume the battery will last just as long as the original fobs.
There was a post earlier in regards to a different style of fob that other ppl were using....
The battery in that style of fob wasn't lasting....
These ones seem to be ok so far!

Valet only means no making new keys or remotes. I got mine with only a Valet as well. Cost 1hr labor for programming + about 10 for the cut + about 40 for the key to get a new master.
