Pic Request: Sport Edition nerf bars/running boards on non-sport t4r
As the title says, looking for those that have swapped their square running boards for sport edition round tubes. I'm trying to get a feel for how it will look with the factory black, square, non-sport roof rack up top. Thanks in advance.

Looks great. Did you mod them or did they bolt up that close to the bottom of your doors? The gap looks tighter than I thought it would, I like it.

Technically not what you were looking for since I am a sport. But I figured you were looking at the rack. So hopefully that helps

Mounting them to your 4runner will look like any 2006+ sport out there. Mine being a 2004 has different lower door panels than yours. They will bolt the same to any 4th gen t4r.
I didn't leave them on long. They stuck out too far for me and I constantly hit my pants or legs on them.

They'll look fine and that's what I did.
The tubes and the roof are so far apart, almost nobody will ever notice.
IMHO, the tubes look much much better than the surf-board.

My only issue is the lack of running board lightning. Gives alot of definition to my limited 2007

tons of ways to fix that. You can put led's anywhere. Lots of ideas on the ole website here. I have them on the bottom of door panel when door opens lights up everything on ground. I had them under the body as well. but like the door better.
Have seen someone put them into the tubes as well.

Not the best pic.
08 SR5 with sport tube steps. I repainted them with rustoleum primer then rustoleum bedliner (both rattle can).
