Ducks & Trucks - 2007 Limited 4wd Build

Now that the real work has started on my truck, I figured I would start my build thread.
I bought this '07 Limited 4wd in Titanium Metallic back in October '16.
The truck is going to be part of the team over at Outworld Overland - Home | Build. Explore. Capture., and we have some very exciting plans coming for 2017.

Modifications so far....
Interior:
Interior LED light swap: JDM Astar
Weathertech cargo mat

Exterior:
Rear License plate LED swap: JDM Astar
Running board delete
Graphite emblems, exhaust, tow hitch
OEM hood with scoop

Armor:
Gobi Stealth roof rack & ladder
ARB front bumper & skid plate
CBI rear bumper - single arm with tire mount
CBI sliders and skid plates
CBI Camp table on rear bumper

Communications / Tech:
Cobra 75 wx st CB radio
Firestik 4' CB antenna
pioneer avh-4200nex head unit

Lighting:
OZG Motorsports roof lights
ARB fog lights
Headlight housings: Chrome/Smoke factory style from CarID
Headlights: H11 HID kit 4300k from XenonDepot
Upgraded DRL and marker lights to LED from Diode Dynamics

Suspension:
Toytec Boss 2.5 HD
Total Chaos upper control arms

Wheels & Tires:
295/70/17 General Grabber X3
17" TRD Pro Gunmetal

Engine/Performance:
HCF Delete
I bought it with an aftermarket exhaust.
Alternator replaced with Toyota factory 7/17

BEFORE:
Side Profile

Rear shot

Suspension, Wheel & Tire installation day

After:

12/10
Installed a Cobra 75wx cb radio and firestik. I ordered an antenna mount on amazon but it didn't work out, so I just zip tired it to my rack. Think I'm going to get a lip mount comet rs720 or attach it to my ladder when I get my roof rack. It worked decent for anyone in front of me.

The processor is tiny, so i tucked it under the seat.

Ocotillo Wells 12/9

Painted emblems to match gunmetal TRD Pro wheels.

12.17.16
Took the truck up to Mt. Laguna to check out the first snowfall of the year.

Upcoming:
Oz rear light bar - Done
CBI Sliders
Rock lights
Driver's side CV replace.
OEM floor mats for DD. - Done
Drawers and/or sleeping platform
Rooftop Tent
sPod power management. - Done
Comet cb mount. - Done
Tablet mount
Upgrade amp, sub and door speakers. - Done. Went with just a head unit, and it sounds great.
Front window tint - Done

OP has been updated with pics and progress.
I had to up the thread for this mod...

Guaranteed 100hp gains!

Now I just have to wait 8-12 weeks. :/

Also... probably should have asked this first... a lot of people blur their plates in pics. Is there good reason for this? Should I not be sharing this dope license plate?

Haha you're f***ing out! That's awesome, I would def lol if I saw that plate rolling around.

Regarding the blurred plates, I don't get why people do it. You can't steal someone's identity by reading their license plate. Pretty sure everyone you ever drive past or who sees your ride in a parking lot could record your plate numbers.

My license plate is RAT-145 for reference if any bad people out there would like to know.

I'm all seriousness, the 4runner looks great. Clean and functional. Nice pics too!

Welp, I broke my leg at Mammoth last weekend, so I'm sitting at home organizing some files.

Decided to add some pictures from my trips, although they may not focus on my truck exclusively. The original post will be updated with the build progress, and adventures will be posted in replies.

Mt. Laguna Camping trip, Fall 2016
First trip in the 4runner, completely stock.

With my 18' teepee

Ocotillo Wells, November 2016
Full write-up on Outworld Overland

Long exposure night shot. These amaze me every time.

Mt. Laguna Snow Run, December 2016
Full write-up on Outworld Overland

Alabama Hills, Jumbo Betty Mine, Mammoth Mountain, New Year's 2017.
Write-up on Outworld Overland
This first pic is from New Year's day, 2016. Long story short, 3 of us slept in the cab of this 3rd gen, unable to start, in -2 degree weather. Woke up (if we ever actually slept) to a completely frozen over cab.

This year, we planned much better and had plenty of supplies. I wish I brought my truck, but had a blast in my buddy's 3rd gen.

Found this creepy little cave on the way to papoose flats

First in line to ride the Gondola. First tracks of 2017!

....aaaaaand first one injured.

I was coming down cornice, a very steep, icy face, when my bindings popped off, sending me sliding down the hill, narrowly avoiding taking out a group below. After sliding for about 200 yards, I flipped onto my stomach and kept trying to slow myself down. Eventually, I tried to dig a toe into the snow and POP. My toe catches, twists my ankle, and sends me flying. I finally stopped after about another 50 yards, with my gear strewn all across the mountain like some sort of airplane crash crime scene. FML. What a noob.

Broke my fibula right at my ankle. Hoping to avoid surgery, with 6 weeks recovery time.

And I miss driving my truck already!

Don't you know, you're supposed to break your LEFT ankle so you can keep driving??

Sorry to hear it Ben, that sucks. Heal fast.

They're set at 1.5" right now, and I love the stance. I'm getting an ARB front bumper soon, and will update if I see any sag or need to adjust.

Installed a Gobi Stealth roof rack. I love the way it looks, and it was pretty straightforward to install.
I haven't driven the truck in a month, due to breaking my leg on New Year's day, but I had to get it cleaned up for a day like today.

Nice build. I was thinking of the same set-up. Toytec Boss lift with the ARB bumper, etc.

Awesome.

Looks really good! No wheel spacers with the 285's? What kind of rubbing have you had?

It rubbed pretty hard while reversing, but nothing going forward. I cranked the fronts another inch to balance the lift, and now it barely rubs at all, just when I crank the turn fully, in reverse.
