Leveling question
Hi - I want to start by stating I did read the lift FAQ. Normally I have the time to spend hours researching a topic, but with the holidays fast approaching and a child due any day, I decided to start a new thread as I have a feeling this will be an easy answer for you guys.
I just picked up an 05 SR5 4X2, 4.7 with 115k miles. Awesome service history but it needs new tires. I found a deal on a set of new TEP with 265/70/17 Grandtreks with TPMS that I will pick up Friday. Going this route was pretty much the same cost of new tires.
I'm only looking to level it out. I purchased this to serve as my DD and my commute is all highway. I opted for the 4.7 to assist with towing my toy car as needed. I was going to pull the trigger on the Cornfed 1" spacers, but I'm not sure if they will work due to the variance in heights front to rear...thus my dilemma.
I measured this distance from my garage floor to the bottom of the fenders and here are the results. I also validated the tire pressure was the same for all.
Front driver 32.5
Front passenger 32.5
Rear driver 35.5
Rear passenger 36
Is this normal? If not, I guess struts and/or springs may be needed.
