The Iron man suspension thread
As the title states, this is a thread about Iron Man suspension products... I searched and did not find anything even close to what I am looking for... Anybody running one of their lift kits?? I have a 2" lift kit/shock/strut kit on order from metal tech (they are down the road from me ). I have the performance kit with the medium rate springs on order as my rear springs sag when I tow a lighter trailer of about 1000lbs... I checked and used the search function but do not see other people running ironman products aside from a casual mention here and there... Any body running Ironman?? If so please post up pictures/reviews/etc...

Guys, I can't believe I am the only one wondering about this... Does any one run ironman products?? Thought some folks on here would since metal tech sells them and they are a forum sponsor. I will post some pictures of mine once I get the kit installed but in the mean time I wanted to see others...

I have known a couple of guys to run then on their Land Rovers but have yet to see a set on a 4runner, at least here in the U.S, and they seemed to like them. I was told to think of them like OME before they got bought out, lol.

I'm running the foam cell front coilovers with their performance springs. Absolutely love them. I have mercilessly beat on them for the last 70k miles and they don't leak (knock on wood ) and don't fade. I'll be upgrading to the foam cell pro's if this current setup ever takes a shit.

I have the foam cell pro's on order and talked to John at metal tech. He said ironman is a good quality company, they just don't have as much exposure here in the states as they are an Australian company. The springs and shocks/struts are set to arrive in a few weeks on the boat and I can't wait to see them! Really want to get them installed and get rid of the xreas!

My kit finally came in. It was supposed to arrive months ago but something happened to the ship it was on...I will be installing it in a few weeks! Can't wait to get it on the runner. Metaltech I found out is the only u.s. supplier for Ironman products but they are not a new brand. They have been around for a while in Australia. I went to metaltech's shop and they had tons of Ironman invenotry they will be selling soon. Off road fridges, tents, any thing you can think of. Stuff seems very quality!

Ok update. Got my lift kit installed and I love it! The struts and shocks are dual valves so you get shock absorption both on the down and up movements! This kit came with great diagrams on the strut assembly! I went from a 36" in the front to a 38" in the front! The rear fenders sit
at 39" because I chose the heavier duty springs to account for extra weight I may as! I would recommend this kit to anyone looking for a good budget lift .

Yes I really like them! When I was putting the struts together I forgot about this and was having trouble compressing the spring since they ship them compressed. I forgot I had to extend the strut. One I figured it out, everything went quick!

Yep, still loving the lift and ride quality! A little firmer than the stock but not so much that no one wants to ride in it! It passed the wife’s test so we are good to go I would buy it again!

Just ordered the kit to convert my GX470 to these shocks. My mechanic had never heard of them and said they might be to stiff riding if they were off road shocks. I said a guy that had them said that they passed the wife test.
