Just ordered the tires, was going with the cooper st maxx but the prices are kinda close to the bfg and the coopers seem a little smaller from the reviews i saw.

Those are fairly thin for that height and for mud tires. What made you go with that over a 285 or 315 or the like?

I didn't want to chop anything and use my stock wheels. The trails I'm used to have mud and rock so I chose the tallest tire I could fit (these are 33.3"). Plus I used to have similar tires on my landrover. Some people also claim better mpg from a smaller contact patch, but after I start adding armor it probably won't help much. I find the skinny tires work pretty well for my needs, the only thing they don't do well is soft baby powder like sand, I'd definitely would buy a wider tire if I had dunes to go over.

Cool. I guess in SoCal there's so much sand around I always want a wider tire (planning to go from 285 to 315 this year).

Another MPG benefit of the smaller tire comes from it tire being lighter for the same height than a wider tire.

SoCal is nice, got lots of family out there and may eventually move there in a few years. I've had so many friends and family tell me about all the trails out there over the years. On the east coast they're so few and far between. I'd take sand and rock any day compared to the mud and water we have.

OME 886/898 springs, wheelers 1/4 front spacers, gen 2 rear sway bar links, Bilstein 5100s. install was a pain due to rust.

898 rear spings

these are for the 5th gen, but works well for our trucks, gives about a 3 inch rear lift. they are the same length as a well worn 4th gen spring with a 1.5" daystar spacer
