I have not been able to see the "stratospheric mica" color in person or on the web; If someone has a picture of a 4runner in this color, please post the link here. Thanks.
I too was interested in that color but could not find one at any dealership. Definitely do not go with the light blue, I saw that and I am not to crazy about it.
Good luck on the search. The Black looks nice also.
Familycar.com has pictures of the light blue (Pacific Blue) color, and I think it looks great. However, I have not seen it in person. It seems it may be easier to keep clean, and may be a bit cooler, than the other, darker blues.
Several weeks ago, I saw what appeared to be a Stratosphere Mica '03 Limited at our local dealership on a car carrier. It was a very deep blue. I thought it was extremely good looking (I like the '03 'Runners in dark colors). Sorry, no picture!
It appears Toyota has restricted production of some colors that don't go well with the gray cladding on the sport and SR-5 models. About all I've seen have been Titanium, Galactic Gray Mica and Black. I saw one SR-5 in the Dorado Gold Pearl and thought that was a very unfortunate combination with the gray cladding, certainly nothing I'd ever buy.
khaug i gotta agree w/ ya. All i've seen at the stealers and on the road (one) were either in black, gry or the titanium (plenty). 1 gold and a few white. I've never seen the red but i was able to check out the stratosphere mica. looks good but didn't come in the config i wanted.
so i ended up w/ a green one since it looked pretty nice plus i haven't seen any green's around anyway so i figure i'll be different.
The Stratosphere Mica is similar to the Dark blue that the Rav4s come in. They are almost impossible to find and sell as fast as they show up. Toyota decided that blue is not a popular color and is only making about 5% in that color. Of course they won't sell a lot of dk blue when they don't make many. You will of course have no problems finding titanium or grey. They account for about 50% of the colors being made. It is nice of Toyota to determine our color preferences for us.
i saw the blue and had the option of buying it. To me it is a very dark blue, and if im going to go that dark i might have well just get the black which i like better. The black has a much more glossy look to the car. But thats my opinion. Chris

Saw a strato mica and it was very nice. Very dark blue metallic--this seems to be the "in" color from manufacturers the past couple of years. I originally liked the dorado gold because when clean, it's very brilliant and seems to leap off of the vehicle. But I finally saw a green and it is now the one I want.
