Front new coils aren't offset, therefore adding a spacer helps balance it out.

offset coils for the 4runner should just be a standard.

Yeah, for a 4th gen, but 5th gens don't need offset most of the time, and since we have so many coil options, it's better to add a spacer when needed. Same coils can be used on FJ Cruisers and Tacomas, and not all vehicles lean the same.

Currently driving an 05' 4Runner v8. I just have a 1/2" dropout spacer (for 1" lift) to level and run 265/75r16 tires. Overall I like the stance, and not wanting to to lift much. Maybe 2/1 max.
But I wanted just to keep as close to stock while leveling. Would going with a 300 up front work with the stock rear end? Or would I need to go with 323s in the rear as well?

300 front coils would be about 1.5" lift on the V8. (C59-302 is 2" on a V8).
You could run those and keep the stock coils in the rear. Then you could always add rear coils after if you want to add some height or firm it up.

Ok thanks! I assume the 323 would be the right match with the 300 up front? A 1.5/0 lift?
And then a 302 and 599 would be more like a 2/1 lift?
I ultimately need new shocks, and have heard good things about Dobinsons. Figured I might as well freshen it all up. Thanks for all the great insight on here Mike.

Yes, that's all correct.
Absolutely, if your struts and shocks are also old then it would be best to change those at the same time.

Anyone use the Dobinsons "stock" replacement coils? 134 and 323?
If so, what has anyone reported and far as lift from old saggy springs?

Need advice on what to swap out, I have-
GS59-220 Struts
C59-302 Front Coils
GS59-701 Rear Shocks
C59-677V Rear Coils
The front is my concern as it’s lifted higher then I need and only has 1/2” of down travel which I believe is causing the ride to be on the harsh side.
Front is currently stock but will have a aluminum bumper and synthetic rope winch, and full aluminum skids.

V8 or V6?
Wait until you add the weight, it will drop the front end down.

Curious - you went long travel front, but not long travel in the rear?
Depending on whether you are a v6 or a v8, you're looking at 3-3.5" of lift up front and should be 2.5-3" in the rear...
Having just gone with (details in sig) 2.5" up front and 1.5" in the rear, which put it at pretty much dead-level, I'm surprised you aren't pretty level, too.
Have any pics?
Like Mike said, get that weight on the front and it should all work out. With the added weight it might ride better.

Just FYI, I just installed the front 300 coils which gave me about a 1.5” lift on my V8 4WD, but didn’t have time to install the rear 599 coils. The front is about 1/2” taller than the rear giving me a reverse rake. Will the front coils settle a bit and get a little lower after a few hundred miles?

Coils generally settle 1/4" over 500-1000 miles. But if you're at 1.5" already, that's about where we expected you to be. That means your rear is quite a bit sagged too. Put the rears in, then report back.

Thanks Mike, I’ll be getting the rear coils on tomorrow and expect to get at least an inch lift to give me the rake back. Even with the slight reverse rake it looks and rides great!
