Installed everything today. I used the school auto shop where I teach and the install was pretty straight forward. But I also had the shop teacher there to help. So far I cruised around on the highway and some dirt roads. The handling is much improved so far.
We installed the following:
Front:
-c59-302
-GS59-221
-1/4” driver side spacer
Rear:
-C59-327
-GS59-701
Front measurements are 22” and rear are 24”
I also lifted my trailer today and I’m happy I left the rake. When hooked up, things are pretty level.

Looking at c59-302 up front for 2.5" lift but unsure of what I should choose for the rear to level it, and unsure how the trailer would effect it. What rear spring would you recommend?
For shocks, looking at gs59-221 up front, possibly gs559-637 for the rear, but I'm not sure what qualifies as a heavy rig and if I should go for the softer shocks in the rear (gs59-705).
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Yours is a V6? Yeah, C59-302 with GS59-221 is the way to go up front for 2.5" of lift.
On the rear, since you'll be towing a trailer, I recommend keeping the rake, C59-325 in the rear for about 2" of lift if you only occasionally tow, but if you'll be regularly towing and/or adding additional weight to the rear, the C59-327 would be more ideal with their stronger spring rate. I suggest the GS59-701. The 705's would be too soft when towing and 637's possibly too firm when unloaded.
Having rake allows the rear end to squat to support the tongue weight, but with less chance of getting into negative rake territory. Check out the new post on here with the fella that will be towing. Great setup with the trailer weight.

Would it not be recommended to run the 701 rear springs if you don’t have a constant load on the rear end? I have 677 right now but if I can’t remove them before insurance hauls my 4R away I might be ordering a new set of springs. I wanted to ask before going through with it. I wanted to go long travel this time around...

Thanks Mike, yes mine is a v6. I appreciate your detailed explanation. Is exit offroad going to be running any 4th of July sale on suspension components?

The C59-701V rear springs are for a very heavy constant load. You can't run those with no weight. Were you thinking of a different part number?
C59-677V are long travel coils, if used with the right shocks, you'll get the full travel out of them.
Find some stock springs and other parts and throw them on the truck before the write-off

Yeah ended up figuring out how to get them off. Thanks for the clarification I'll just stick with the 677v til I get armor and extended fuel tank.
Took some work stiff ass springs lol...

Confused about the spacers. There are front spacer and a rear spacer. Do I need both?

A lot of them do need front and rear. You can measure your truck now to see if it's leaning bad or not and then decide. The front is a little harder to put in so most would add the front at a minimum, see how it settles then add a rear if needed. If it leans bad before a lift then order front and rear spacers from the start.

@ Crikeymike
Does Dobs have any plans to produce the 574 series front struts for us 4th gen guys? Or could they possibly retroactively fit on our rigs?

You can use the 574 on a 4th. They come with the lower bushings that you'll need to change out. Press out the ones that come with them for the 5th gen and press in the supplied narrower 4th gen bushings.

Hmmm...looks like only .35" difference between the 220s, but length is length! Cool that they come with 4th gen sized bushings.
Thanks for the quick answer as always Mike!

Yeah, they are so close to the 220s that I never really bothered listing it. I guess I should though just in case that makes a difference to someone's decision.

Hey Mike,
Got a question. I was running C59-327 and was getting a rearward rake with sliders, Prinsue roofrack, full drawer system (+60lbs gear), bike rack (+46lbs), and Arb 50qt.
I upgraded to the C59-677V per some suggestions here in order to compensate for the rake and increased load carrying. The front page states those were rated for 400+lbs, but I'm seeing most vendors were listing it as 0-400 which is still on par with my old springs. In addition, the spring rate is a bit less on the 677s.
With the new springs installed I got the same rake and feels more "wallowy" out back. I suspect due to the lower spring rate.
Should I have moved up to the 701v instead...?
I am looking at adding a Rigd Tire Carrier with a 33" possibly later.

Yeah the 677V's have a lower final spring rate than the 327's. The 701V's are more in line with the 327's as far as spring rate.
But how often are you fully loading up and having that issue? How is it when daily driving?
How much lift do you have up front? Must be at least 3" I guess?
