How do you feel the 701s run on an empty truck vs the 705s loaded with 200lbs of extra gear? Looking to get my 4Runner be comfortable on long dirt roads and the weight on my truck varies. Are the 705s stuffer than stock?

If the truck is empty almost all of the time, use the 705s for the most comfortable ride.

If you have 200lbs always, use the 701s.

The 705s are a different feel than stock, but I wouldn't say stiffer. Your stock shocks are also at least 12 years old so they are most definitely worn out and super soft I'd bet.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any customers on 285/75 16s on a 2” lift or is that tire too big?

I'm sure there are, but they most likely did some trimming to get them to fit up front

Hey, I know you said it would be December for certain springs to be shipped out, around what time of the month. I'm too excited to get them!!! FYI, the springs I'm referring to is the 677 and 314 in red.

Thanks!

Hey man, great setup! Looking to do something similar, I was wondering if you had any rubbing issues with the increased offset of the TRD wheels with those Tires?

Sorry for the long post:

Okay, so I ordered the IMS system for an 07 v8 4WD 4runner (100k miles) and got it yesterday and decided to install it the same day because I'm impatient. I got the 314's with the 226mm seat height. for the rear, I ended up with the 675v instead of the 677v with long-travel shocks, I did this due to the longer wait and also because I thought it may have been too tall since I only cary about 100 lbs in the rear right now with a regular spare. The install took some time as apparently, I'm a little rusty.. All is well, drives good, but the front is definitely a little stiff (not too stiff though) since I don't have my bumper/winch combo installed yet.

Here's my dilemma, I know it needs to settle but I got almost 6" of lift in the front and about 3" in the rear which means it's sitting nose-high by about an inch or so (looks more than an inch). How much should I expect the front to settle? Should I get the 677v's even if it does settle + the bumper/winch for a proper rake? I was hoping for at least an inch rake at a minimum so I have room for the extra camping and traveling gear, plus I tow a boat from time to time and wanted it to be as level as possible when I do.

I haven't installed the diff drop yet, or the UCA's since they won't be in until a little later. I'm wondering what I should do. extra weight/mod list below:

Future (ordered but not yet shipped)
Demello aluminum flat top bumper,
SmittybuiltBuilt 10k winch (synthetic line)
RSG angled sliders with kick out

Considering hitch mounted full-size spare (285/70r17's). This depends on if I can fit it underneath the way I want, which I doubt because of the tow package hitch. no rear bumper in the future at this time due to cost.

Also considering full budbuilt skids (steel) in the future

Let me know what you think, I don't think I'm going to install the 285/70r17's I have in the garage until I get the UCA's installed and everything aligned. until then I'm running on bald highway tires 265/65r17's

WOW!! Ummm, you need to post photos, and proper measurements. Haha

Measure from the center of the hub up to the fender.

If you installed it where it is now, then lowered it to the ground and measured, that's not the right way to do it.

314's with 220 struts set to 226mm will be at least 3.5" with no front weight, and 4" or so until settled.

500 miles to settle and break in the coils. With that much lift, no alignment and no UCA's, I probably wouldn't even drive it. You might need to put the stock front struts back in until you either add weight or get everything else in and onto it.

Measurements below, hub to fender as of last night after a 20-mile trip.

It's not quite 6" but it's close! I know I had some sagging though, I guess being in the 24" ish area is to be expected without settling and no weight. measurements were taken with a full gas tank.

WOW, that is high up front!! hahaha. 20" front and 22" rear is the baseline that we go off for lift height, so you're at 4.5" and 4-5/8" of lift up front. You need to have the front weight on there, or take them off and go back to stock until you get it.

Rear is 2-5/8" and 1.5", got some leaning, but with the front so jacked, that will mess up the rear too.

Yeah, after I looked at the numbers and realized just how much sag I had I don't think it will be an issue once I get some weight on it. I'm thinking the weight in the front will be about 140'ish pounds, once everything is installed bumper-wise, but based on the way it handles I'm betting it doesn't weigh it down much more than a 1/2" up front. so I figure I'll be sitting close to 4" lift up front. what are your thoughts?

Also regarding the rear, do you think I should go 677v's instead so I can have some rake for future weight?

CrikeyMike could you help me out on this?

IMS59-50220 with C59-314 front I am good on this setup.

I want about 2 1/2 inches in the rear. Could I put the C59-675V with the IMS59-50701 and be able to accomplish this? On my 2020 4runner I have the IMS59-50701 with the C59-325 but that's supposed to be 2 inch lift I love this setup.
If I use IMS59-50701 with the C59-325 and add a 1/2 inch cornfed spacer on top of coil would I come out better?
