Got it, thanks! Sorry, one follow up question. I have fairly new Bilstein 5100's, if I went with 675v's in the back will they work for a while before I can upgrade to your shocks? I'd like to save up for the IMS ones if I can. Seems like the extended length is enough based on the specs, but wanted to make sure.

finishing spec'ing out the kit
i'm set on getting the rear long travel setup with the 675v (no rear bumper or anything) + 575 long travel rear shocks. I know ext bump stops + brake lines are a must. I saw you have the Wheeler rear bump stops. Would you need just the Wheeler rear bump stops or would one need the extensions as well?
Also, would the rear 4.25" durobumps work as well for the rear long travel setup? I really dont want to bottom out and blow out the shock :P

The durobumps would actually work better to protect the shocks from bottoming out, so if you haven't bought any yet, those 4.25" would be ideal.
Or the Timbren's also cover it for the LT shocks and don't let the shocks bottom out.

Hello, I'm looking to purchase a kit from someone who bought the kit directly from Exit Offroad and I'm hoping that you can help me confirm that these are the right part #s for my 2006 4Runner v8.
Here is what he has:
C59-302R
GS59-701B
GS59-220B
C59-327R
Any info that you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Also, would it be necessary for me to upgrade the upper control arms with this setup?

Post #1 of this thread will show you what those part numbers will give you, but to summarize, Yes, all of that will work. It will be 3" up front (yes, UCA's are needed) and those are the heavier rate rear coils, 2" of lift with 200-400lbs of weight, otherwise they'll give 2.5" of rear lift with stock weight.

sweet! Timbrens look awesome but way more exp. The duros dont compress so much that they will still bottom out the rear shocks?

Don't know, I don't sell Duro's so I don't know what their compressed length is. you'll have to ask them.

I talked with Durobump and they said that that 4.25" stops won't work with the Dob LT rear setup. They recommended the 5.25" stops which is new and not fully available yet. They sold me a pair directly so I will report back once I get everything installed.
Also, does anyone know if you can adjust the front coilseat while the coilover is on the car (on jacks with front end at full droop)? I know Dob doesn't recommend it but I was hoping it is possible to do some fine adjustments to front end height.
My brother has the Fox 2.5 DSC fronts and he used a punch to turn the collar. He says lots of peeps do that.

Hello,
I have a 4th Gen V8 4WD SR5 I just picked up. I am planning on installing a Shrockworks bumper w/o winch for now (net +~115 lbs), and a True North rear bumper with swing out for spare tire (not sure weight, say ~200lbs)
Currently stock suspension, 17” stock wheels and 265/65R17 Yokohama’s. Will get Black Rhino 17s and new larger A/T tires as well.
Based on the above, is there a configuration you would recommend specifically for a 2-3” lift? Thank you

Hey. Welcome to the 4Runner world!!
Yeah, I can make suggestions. It really depends though if you want 2" or 3", as it's different parts to get you there. And then some want to try and level out the truck some, so 3" up front and 2" in the rear is a super common way to go. 3" front requires UCA's as well to get the proper alignment and articulation out of the front end.

Thanks for the quick reply - definitely want to level it out as much as possible.
So 3” up front + UCAs, 2” rear, and then I believe I can choose different coils based on the added weight I estimated?

Here's the kit builder on my website:
Dobinsons 1" to 3.5" Lift Kit for Toyota 4Runner 4x4 2003-2009 (all options)
Yes, I'd suggest the C59-314 coils with the GS59-220 struts up front, then the C59-327 in the rear with the GS59-701 shocks in the back, plus UCA's.
The C59-327 rear coils are sold out though and it's going to be a few months before they make it to the states again, so there will be a bit of a lead time on those.
