I still check in from time to time (just don't always sign in) and I still enjoy
my tailgate literally every single day that I use my 4runner, and it gets lots

a way to make this into a product that would work at the price point
people want it it be at. One big challenge is that the aluminum sliding
support needs to be both strong and a precision fit (otherwise it'll stick
when it slides) so it's all welded together as one piece, rather than
bolted together, which makes shipping a challenge. There's just no easy
way to turn it into a kit.

Very nice. One of the reasons I almost bought a Land Cruiser, before I decided to go with a 4runner, was because of the proper tailgate.
