How many trail editions?
Does anyone know how many 09 Trail editions were produced? One of those interesting useless facts I have never found.

I think somewhere around 10-15k total 09's were made so I imagine the number of TE's is less than 20% of that? You're very lucky, OP

Here are some recent pictures of my Trail Edition.
In July I am taking my truck to CBI off road for them to develop a rear bumper for me with dual swing out similar to the 5th gen 4runner.

I have a 2007 Sport Edition V8.
I retrofitted an e-locker diff in the rear axle.
So, it's a "Sport Trail Edition" ;-)

Very nice!!
The TE's are pretty rare. In all my travels, I've only come across two in the wild.

Mine says trail edition on the outside of the door where other 4runner models are. Picked a silver one up recently with 88k.

Dumb question:
What's the difference between a Trail Edition and the other trim levels (SR5/Sport/Ltd)?

The Trail Edition was 09 model year only and was the only 4th gen that came with a factory e locker. Why Toyota waited until the very last MY to offer an e locker is anyone's guess
