now you need some curtains for some privacy so people don't watch you when you sleep.

That's creepy man. To keep people from staring at me when I sleep in my truck, I usually park with my windows rolled down, dome lights on, in the abandoned parking lot just outside the trailer park.

Going out on a limb here, but when looking at the picture of the cot, I see a huge "Helinox" stamped on it.

Yes I noticed but they make numerous models also. So was looking for the one he has since it fits.

Ah, then you really meant to ask was, "What model cot is that?"
backcountrymedic, that's close to what I'll be doing next Wed thru Sun. Taking the dirtbike up into the mountains for 5 days of fun and sleeping in the back of the 4Runner. I have an inflatable bed I use instead of the cot, but same general idea.

@ madeinhb
I'm from New Jersey, so sarcasm is a true sign of love.

It's the Helinox Lite model. Pricey, but worth a good night's sleep for sure.

Looks awesome man. I haven't slept in my 4R yet, but I did several times in my old Pathfinder. Wish I had that cot!
I'm a photographer too, based in the South Bay just a bit north of you. I've been dying to get to Joshua Tree for a long time but haven't made it yet. Would love to see some of your shots up here when you get back.
Have a great time!

Sleeping cot
That's a great setup. In the 5th gen the seat backs angle up so it would take a bit of shimming, with wood blocks maybe, to get it to sit level and straight.
I've slept in the back of my 4Runner a few times when exploring the remote back country of Joshua Tree. I take all of the back seats out and lay some padded bags down in the foot well. I use a Thermarest pad to soften up the floor and gear.

I sleep in the back of mine often. I double up on sleeping pads and use a sleeping bag and I sleep great! I even have room for the fridge.
By the way, I love JTNP. Used to live about 2.5 hours from it. Miss that place.
