For SiriusXM, looks like you can use this one instead if you prefer no-USB interface: Vais GSR-101

I also found these USB adapters, which might work and have Prime shipping:
1: https://smile.amazon.com/Goliton-fem...dp/B01H1A4L06/
2: https://smile.amazon.com/Vehicle-Aud...dp/B00WW52OC8/

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I finally completed install, including SiriusXM. I went with GSR-101 instead of GSR-001. Turns out the GSR-101 has USB out and in so you don't have to sacrifice other USB functionality. GSR-001 only has USB out (to radio).

I mounted BT mic on steering wheel column. Works great.

Now I want BT buttons for my steering wheel!

When nav comes down in price, I'll surely add it.

Cool, where did you add the Sirius antenna? When you added it, did a satellite radio icon show up in the source menu?

I installed antenna in rear a long time ago for a portable radio. Pretty easy.

Yes. See here, they even have a video: http://www.vaistech.com/product/gsr-101/

It works exactly as shown.

EDIT: And here's a pic from my install: https://i.imgur.com/k35cZWv.jpg

I just ordered the NAV from these guys: OEM QNG-BE2808 Navigation Module Toyota Include Wiring for 180.00 ? - Radio / Navigation & Parts

I paid extra to use Paypal and Fedex. So if they are fraudulent, I should be covered.

Now I need to hunt down the brackets. Still trying to figure out if and how I can switch to North America maps. Looks like it is update through USB, see page 158: http://www.billswebspace.com/OMSADG0702D.pdf

EDIT: I cancelled order until I confirm with a dealer that they can update maps at a reasonable cost.

I was able to drill holes in my existing brackets. Its not ideal or clean, but it works.

For the love of Zeus, after weeks of working around, I got my camera to work. I would like to do a write up in a build thread or something, but this Photobucket crap has really messed with my motivation to do so.

Anyway, I used the the harness that was posted here earlier with the fuses and stuff. I got mine on eBay, I think from the same seller as autoharnesshouse. It probably would have worked with my old harness, but this solved the trying to tap 12v power to the camera problem. One big issue is the plug wouldn't fit in my radio without some persuasion from a razor and dremel.

Lastly, I had to add a reverse wire to my 24pin connector. The harness I purchased came with one that has the pin and everything. I just inserted it into my connector.

I ended up tapping that red/yellow wire in the driver door sill and that made the camera work flawlessly. It was in the center of the loom toward the bottom. Overall, I'm not pleased with the camera. It's better than nothing, but it's not as wide view as I had hoped, it's off center, and I can't see my bumper which helps me gauge distance. I probably can't do anything about the off center, but may look into different camera options.

I wired up everything with quick disconnects instead of butte connectors so I could easily replace components in the future if they fail. But damn what a PITA this whole adventure has been.

Here's pics of the wire I tapped in the driver door sill. I had to cut away a little tape on both ends to give me room to work/manipulate the wire.

Could there be some versions of this 2016 Scion radio that don't have reverse camera capability?

Edit: I agree about your thought that the radio shouldn't care if the camera is running 12v or 6v. Those that have the 6v camera are running power from the radio (6v). I'm not getting power from the radio but from an accessory 12v source that is definitely supplying 12v to the camera. The camera is outputting about 1.5v from the RCA plug when the 12v accessory source is powered. It's the radio not recognizing when reverse is engaged (and not knowing to switch input to the RCA source.)
Did you get this working?

For those that want to retain the factory 6v backup camera as I did in my 05 limited I used the Beat Sonic BC-1. Worked perfect with my Kenwood DDX and didn't have to install a new camera or run a new wire. Not the cheapest part but effective.

Bummer... I should have done more research on this myself... apparently there is not a "plug-and-play" wiring harness for the "UrbanRunner" package (I have a 2009 Trail Edition)...
I ordered all the parts I needed from the parts list in this thread, then pulled the existing deck, and lo and behold, the connectors don't mate up.
I now have to decide whether or not to cut & splice

Maybe a dumb question but... If you don't care about hands free calling BUT you want to stream music via Bluetooth do you have to get the (PT546-00120-MC) Bluetooth Microphone Kit ?

On older scion radio's the answer was yes. You needed the mic to enable Bluetooth. Haven't tested it here, but my assumption is you need the mic.
