Reverse signal wire?

Any input on where the best place to grab a reverse signal from up front, under the hood? I'm looking to trigger aux reverse lights.

I got mine from the fuse panel under the dash on the driver's side. Used it to connect to my b/u cam. I followed this thread. You could tap that same wire for your needs.

Yes. I'm adding the rigid 98002 reverse light kit. I'd like to have the option of reverse trigger as well as an On/Off, but don't want to use the rigid switch

I just put Auxbeam lights on my rear bumper. I power them from the trailer plug found under the body that is provided by Toyota. There are two connectors under there. One has a red-yellow wire I think, that is the backup light power. It is easier than fishing up into the tail light assemble and I didn't use any relay at all.. You could use the wire to power your lights right from there directly. This may not be what you are looking for if you also want to add a manual switch though. I didn't feel it was necessary for a manual switch on my rig, so I just went with this setup...clean and simple and short wire run.

I just added some to mine. I wanted a switch under dash so I could also turn them on manually. I ran LEDs, but I used an LED anyway. I put the relay in the jack compartment and pulled a trigger off the wire going to the tail light. I think it was red and yellow.

Oh, and I ran the wire out through the drain hose in that same compartment.
