Coolant leak. Advice needed

Anyone had this issue? Coolant in reservoir is low. But never below level in the pic even after refilling. And there's some crusty pink coolant in pic #2

Looks like the form gasket between the tstat housing and water pump is leaking

Can you look at the bottom of the vehicle, more specifically, the bottom of the radiator and see if there is a running leak?

It's possible that what you're seeing in the engine bay is a coolant leak and the fan blowing it all over everything.

I recently developed a decent dripping of coolant just a couple of weeks ago, took a look at the bottom of the vehicle and found droplets of coolant dripping off the bottom of the radiator. I traced it back up and found the radiator had a large leak about 1/4 the way up on the passenger side.

I spent the day yesterday replacing the radiator and am now coolant-drip free.

Time to replace your water pump and timing belt if you haven't already done so.

So, I replaced my water pump and still leaked coolant. Turned out one of my hoses had a tear in it. Take a look at the hoses nearest the crusty coolant.

The bottom rubber cooler hose on mine was also dripping after my TB job, but it turned out that the system really needed to be burped (bubbles came out for a good 5+ seconds) and my new thermostat was also stuck (there was no hot air from vents with heater on highest setting). I think the two problems combined were causing enough of a back pressure that coolant was leaking not through a rip but past the clamp on top, glad that you found the leak before too much of the pink gold was wasted

thanks for all replies. keep them coming. I plan to look at the issue this weekend. the Timing belt and pump were replaced at 117K. Car has 157k now. Will look at hoses - that sounds easier than gasket replacement

I've got the same issue. I had the TB/water pump done at 98k, now at 158k.
