Just placed my order for all my headlight goodies. I will be doing a D2s 4.0 low beam retrofit with TRS Profile Hi-lens led high beams and all will be painted black
I will update with pictures when I receive everything

Finished up my headlight retrofit- this was my first time doing one and I’m very happy with it overall

I bought $80 tyc replacement headlight housing units for “parts” mainly just the lenses since mine were badly fogged over but I also ended up having to grab the plastic nut that the one of the adjustment screws goes into
I used gray retro rubber to seal the lights back up and then put some waterproof silicone Around the outside to be extra sure. I haven’t been through a car wash yet but heavy rain has caused no water to condense inside the headlights

For the build parts I used morimoto D2s 4.0 projectors and and trs profile hi lens led units to go in my high beam slot and I have the lights wired to use the D2s for low beam and then the D2s high beam and profile hi lens for my high beams when I turn them on
I used krylon matte black spray paint and I was rather liberal with it.
To mount the projectors I used a lightwerkz metal mounting bracket and the profile hi lens threads fit right through the hole for the bulb.

I did have to dremel the projector shroud from the oem housing considerably to get it so that the light would aim properly and in retrospect it would have been easier to buy separate shrouds to use instead

In terms of dremeling out the housing, is that to give clearance for the 3" lens compared to the stock 2.5" projector? Separate shroud just to cover up the dremeling, or??
Looks mint

Yeah the back side of the black painted housing was contacting the projector lens when I was trying to aim. (thankfully I decided to make sure everything would aim BEFORE I sealed the housing up) but if I had bought shrouds I feel that I would have been able to just make a more open cut and use the shroud to mask the hole a little better

Makes sense. Good to know!

I'm assuming you dremeled the projector hole on the shroud open for more clearance. How much did you have to take off? Doesn't seem like too much? Mine are hitting the shroud hard for upward adjustment, I'm gonna have to take a decent chunk out I think.
