Installing aftermarket head unit- utilize JBL or use head unit amp

I was wondering what everyone's opinion is as far as using the OEM JBL amp when installing an amp or bypassing it to use the aftermarket head unit's amp?

I'm planning on using the factory JBL amp when my Kenwood reciever arrives later this week. My 04 SE has the 10 speaker JBL synthesis system and the factory amp is running all the speakers including sub. If I (you) bypass the JBL amp I will only have power to 4 speakers, assuming I can find all the wire runs, unless I was to purchase an aftermarket amp. I'm not a radio guru, but in my research I concluded that using the JBL amp was the best way to go with the system in my 2004 SE when simply replacing the head unit vs. replacing the entire system.

Good point! Would you mind sharing how it sounds during bluetooth calls when you are all done?

I'm running a Pioneer AVIC unit with the stock JBL. Sounds great, especially when I replaced the blown-out sub. I ran the bluetooth speaker through the back of the dash and out the left-side air. It works perfect in that location, just not with the windows down.
