You can relocate your license plate or have it mounted behind it, the license plate will block a little of the light but I would just relocate it

This is awesome. I was just researching last night how to install a led bar behind my lower grill. I just found my solution. I know what I'm asking for my birthday next month.

License Plate Relocation

Bought the same brackets from a different vendor so I could get the hood scoop mount too but for those of you concerned about the license plate, relocating is easy and worth DIY. two dimensions (up and out), single strip of steel (~$10) bent up with a vise and some holes. I used the factory holes in the hollow crossmember to feed bolts out of.
you could also use some oversized self-tapping fasteners if you wanted to work outside-in. I had to use a crossbar in front since the hole spacing on the plate was just inside that of the factory spots. Also all the info and write ups I have seen mention cutting the plastic grill. This is NOT necessary as you should be able to flex it out from behind the bumper in one piece and save for potential use later on.

Got mine on. Fit and finish of the brackets was bang on. I chose to leave my lower grill insert on and still got it to work. I shaved some off the back of it and jammed it in there.

Hardest part for me was connecting the light to it. Nothing wrong with the brackets however, it was the light I bought and the mounting hardware it came with. Again, I made it work though and added my own bolts on each end of the light.

Will try to get some shots of it without lights on and closer up.

Off topic but how do you like your headlights?? How is the light output compared to OEM? Any issues with condensation inside the light? Or foggy lens?
