Hey guys, I'm pretty new here but a long time 4th gen owner.
I'm currently making a plate rear bumper with a tire swing. I bought the 4x4 labs roller bearing spindle to use for the swing (it's super beefy btw).
I've already cut out 90% of the pieces on the cnc plasma.
I still have to fit it up and tack it together but the big question I have is Mounting Locations?
Where is everyone mounting there bumper to on the 4th gens?
Any pics? I can figure it out, but some ideas/ pics would go a long ways.
I'm pretty excited about it!

Thanks in advance!

How do you have most of the bumper cut out without planning for the mounting? I'm an engineer and that just hurts my brain.

The 4x4Labs rear bumper requires cutting the rear crossmember but it bolts to the factory tow hitch weld nuts underneath the frame rails. Also to the insides of each frame rail with plates w/ weld nuts you fish inside the frame through the ends (where you cut the frame crossmember off).

Probably all the aftermarket bumpers out there mount to those weld nuts underneath the frame rails so that would be a good place to start.

Thanks man, that's pretty much where I was going or assumed.
All of the "shell" i've already cut out. I thought it would be easier to Engineer the mounts after I've tacked the center section together. Didn't really wanna take the time to model up the whole Assy in Solidworks.
I was just curious how all the main bumper fabricators were doin it.
This site is a lotta help and looking forward to hopefully contributing.
At least I was lazy enough to Order a front bumper from addicted Offroad 😄

Which bumper from Addicted Offroad did you purchase? Feedback? I like their tube (non-plate) version preferable without the center hoop.

BTW, Relentless Fab is entertaining a hybrid front bumper for the 4th generation. The design would be similar if not exactly as the GX470.

Addicted Offroad Tube bumper with hoop and grille guard. I'll know in about 4 weeks how I like it.

Schrockworks sliders

Is anyone running Schrockworks sliders on their 4th gens? I'm looking at either RCI or White Knuckle but the Schrockworks are in the same ballpark and seem like the mounting on the frame might be a bit stronger than a U-bolt. Pictures please if you are running them, can't seem to find anyone with these other than whats on their website. Thanks.

I actually ordered the WKOR after looking at your rig on another specific thread for the WKOR sliders. I opted for the top plates for the little humans and the wife to use as steps. I'm excited.

Thanks. It's mainly all 10 gauge plate. Normally do 3/16 but was trying to keep weight down. The tube is 1 5/8s 120 wall. It's all finished now other than bed liner. Just had it sand blasted. I'll post update pics when it's done.

Bumper I designed, just all tacked up at the moment. Made out of 3/16 and 1/4 inch A36.
Hoping to get the tire carrier done this week.
Off to powdercoat after that.

is there any filler pieces between the bumper and tail lights, or down the side?
