Good thread. I am attempting to put back together my daughters 07 sport banged up passenger fender bumper and isn’t driving straight. Anyone know what years are comparable for front fenders?

Thanks in advance

06-09 should match a 07 as the body style never changed till 2010.

(Sorry if I missed it elsewhere in this thread, but I looked over it!)

Is anyone aware of which alum or steel rear bumpers come with and/or are available with 2" receivers in them?

T.I.A.!

Hybrid vs Full Front Bumper

Hellooo,

Looking into getting some front armor soon. Curious to know if anyone went with a hybrid and then upgraded to a full. I do like the look of a hybrid (Victory 4x4) and would like to hear feedback from those who went with a hybrid. Or those that recommend a full. cheers!

I've got a Hybrid from True North Fabrications on the way, so I can't speak to it too much at this point.

I wanted the TNF bumper because its one of the lightest options available without going Aluminum. That said, I wish it had shackle mount points on the front. Didn't realize it was missing that when I bought it unfortunately.

Reach out to them, they've added it as an option that mounts to the frame similar to some of the other front recovery points.

Rear ARB Bumper?

So I've searched for a good while now tonight, but very well might have missed it...

Is there a single picture of a 4th gen with an ARB rear bumper in existence on the internet?!

Yeah I saw that, but their asking price for them is steep. Better off just getting the Buffalo Bayou ones next time they are in stock.

i think the brand is one of the best in the offroad business.

the bumper seems well made, expensive, and heavy

i only saw pics of it and wouldnt run full bumpers on a v6 4th gen
because power/weight ratio. im running a hybrid blitz (when it shows up) and tire carrier, sliders, stock skids until i need new ones, etc.

if it werent a daily id consider making it more heavy

Appreciate your insight, a bunch!

I've been rocking the ARB front deluxe bull bumper for some years and love it. It has come in use at least a couple dozen times ranging from deflection, to pushing, to trail rigging, to PIT maneuvering (just kidding
).

Same with the OME springs - super happy with them after a few years of 30/70 on/off pavers.

Eventually will get more tube work by means of sidebars and sliders.

If weight becomes an issue, I gueeeeeess I could downsize my bass ensemble. Does anyone *really* need 350 lbs in the trunk just to rumble some butts?

Yes. Yes, they do.

Only thing missing is mount for laser with scanner heads for woodland light shows

God Bless these United States of America.

(And Canada. You guys aight, too.)

Curb weight on a 4th gen T4R isn't all that different from a 2nd gen Tacoma with the same v6. Most run synthetic rope instead of steel on their winches, but that's about it for cutting weight.

Never heard the power/weight thing being an issue for anyone running full bumpers on tacomas, even the guys running front and rear with swing-outs, bed racks and RTTs. Mpg suffers, but the 4.0L can get it done
