PS Most of the posts I have been reading say a drain of the pan will net you 3-4 quarts, did you jack it up somehow to get 7?
When I did a drain/refill I got exactly 4 quarts out and then refilled with 4.

I mean, when I look at a report like this it tells me nothing because I have no idea what the "healthy" numbers should be vs "bad" numbers

Good question Keakar, I will try to answer it.

New fluid should not have any of the metals or contaminants listed with values in the lab results. So baseline would be 0.

For fluid properties, the baseline for new fluid or acceptable ranges are detailed in the left column (viscocity, flashpoint, etc).

One factor, the total acid number (TAN), would be the only one that I am not positive what new WS fluid would have.

I wouldn't think this would change from one report to another using the same transmission fluid, unless one of you does use a fluid other than the WS fluid.
Another good question that I will email to Blackstone. I would take a guess that either they need to get consistent on baselines, or that they simply have more data on averages at this time compared to a few years ago.

I did a full flush on transmission oil over labor day weekend and sent out some sample for analysis as well. Here is the result.
I am pretty sure this is original fluid from the factory, unless the previous owner replaced it before I got it at around 36,000 miles. I also got high copper content, but I don't think there is anything to worry about.

I'm going to be doing a drain and fill this weekend on my 4Runner. I bought it used with 133k on the odometer so I am curious to see what the transmission fluid looks like.

I should save a little and consider sending it off to blackstone for testing.

I've done similar thing reinstalling water pump while changing timing belt on a Rav4, 4cyl, should have translated torque spec to inch pounds and use that torque wrench instead of trying to do it in ft lbs, just too much leverage. Easing the anxiety, after removing the pump again the remaining half of the bolt backed out very easy after the head was broke off.

What I'd say, when you take your pan/gasket off completely, there should be enough bolt left to get a hold of and back out. Of course, bring it to a shop and have them do it if your not sure.

I just did a search after getting my results back and found this thread, thanks posting up your results guys, I made a thread here and I was a bit worried TBH, but your results all look similar to mine. (High copper, and iron)

304K on original WS

going to send mine in and see what the results show, should be interesting as it's never been drained or at least no record of it. Carfax and Toyota National have numerous service records, but nothing other than oil changes and diff fluid drain and fills.

That will be an interesting report. Looking forward to see what they say about 304k without a change.
