Diff drop installed, now front skid plate wont go back on

Has anyone had this happen before? and if so what was the fix?

**also please spare me the debate on whether or not you believe it to be necessary in the first place.**

Thanks,

What kit are you using? Did you use the skid plate spacers?

Diff drop requires spacers on the front skid plate as well. If you got a legit diff drop kit it should have come with them.

Got the kit from toytec. Used the spacers here (see picture) but i cant get the front portion of the plate on. Truth be told i want to replace it anyway but i want to get this sorted first.

Okay so I have a 5th gen so it me be different, but according to ToyTec's site it is the same part number. I crawled under mine just now and I didn't put any spacers in the rear section only the front. Now I'm thinking I may have put it together wrong but everything fits.......
Not sure if it matters but my kit came with a radiator support drop as well.

I used the four for that skid plate i showed in the picture. But even if i rigged it to use two. Putting two up front would not help because i would still need all 4 for the front skid. You got any pics of how you rigged yours?

Here is what mine looks like. Its looks a little different because I got a radiator support drop so I don't need the spacers for the front skid. Your kit will still work, you need to put the factory bolts(NO SPACERS) in the front 2 holes of the front skid. For the rear holes on the front skid you need 2 spacers and 2 bolts that came with the kit. For the rear skid you need the 2 spacers and 2 new bolts in the front holes and factory bolts in the rear(NO SPACERS).

this should be a Sticky! Spent 3 hours dicking around with my skid plates today. The diff drop itself took 30 min.
