Missing front Skid plate? Hit a deer.
I hit a deer a few weeks ago and insurance company sent me to local Chevy dealer to get it fixed. My local Toyota dealer wasn't on the Progressive "Authorized/certified, whatever" list.
They seemed to do okay. Had to replace front bumper, driver's front fender, headlight, and some stuff like that.
When I slid underneath the front to change my oil last night, I noticed my condenser is completely exposed with about 4-6 inches hanging below the fender, and no skid plate.
I see two threaded holes in the skidplate that goes from the radiator back under the oil filter, but nothing on the front.
I can't remember if there was a skid plate on this front section or not? Did they forget it, or is this why everyone is looking for the front skid plates shown on this site? (I assumed people were changing from the plastic to a metal one?)
Please let me know. I've tried to find pics on Toyota's site, this site, etc, but no luck....
It's obvious that even some hard snow/ice will be a problem on my '04 V8 Limited.
Thanks!
